So, tomorrow begins a new year with new hope and new starts. I won't get all serous about resolutions other than to say this blog is really the only one that I am making. New photos every day, with the goal of rediscovering my love for photography and looking for improvement in technique and skill.
Not that anyone has asked, but why do I call myself "SoCalWingNut"? About 12 years ago, I was a serious commenter on several hockey message boards, most notably the now defunct ESPN boards. I needed a distinctive name that described me and left no doubt where my loyalties lay. Most who know me know that I am a serious Detroit Red Wings fan. Red Wings fans are sometimes referred to as "Wing Nuts". I live in Southern California, hence SoCalWingNut became my nom de plume.
So there it is. This blog will be dominated by my photography and may include a little snarky commentary form time to time. Come along for the ride and I hope it is worth your time.
